Description |
Portrait of George Lafayette Booth in front of his home, holding the reigns of his horse and placing a hand on its snout. Booth was one of 14 Smithtown men to enlist in the Civil War, he was enrolled into Company H of the 127th New Yok State Volunteers, and saw action as a private in South Carolina, and ended his service in 1865. He lived from 1839 to 1919. |
